The Founder

                 

MJ RENSHAW has had dirt beneath her fingernails for as long as she can remember. Growing up in the north of Toronto (tkaronto), she founded a deep connection to nature in her early exploration of the forest. 

MJ felt compelled to create Earth Oil after many years in the city and finding it difficult to connect to nature and its many benefits. Since completing her BA in Montreal, she is currently working as a Manual Therapist at Being Clinic (self-founded) and completing a Post Graduate Diploma. 

She hopes to help cultivate a deeper relationship to your own healing and nature through Earth Oil, by incorporating the nurturing effects of Magnesium and hydration for the body. 

 

Earth Oil was created on and inspired by the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit and the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, the Wendat, and the Haudenosaunee.

This territory is protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, and agreement made by the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and allied nations to care for and share the resources of the Great Lakes Region. With gratitude to these nations and peoples across Turtle Island and beyond we offer a 22% discount to BIPoC communities. 

 

MJ often makes donations from Earth Oil to CAMH - Centre of Addiction and Mental Health. With her own experiences of mental health, addiction, and understanding of systemic inequities that result in trauma, she feels it imperative to give back and support her community.
